MetaFlow App Privacy Policy
How the MetaFlow mobile application for pipeline network dispatching handles operator accounts, telemetry and exported data. No ads, no tracking, no analytics.

MetaFlow is a professional pipeline-network dispatching application for gas and other fluids operated by MetaEnergy LLC. This policy describes what information the MetaFlow mobile application processes and how.
1. Who Uses MetaFlow
MetaFlow is a professional tool for authorized operators of fluid distribution networks. Operator accounts are created and managed by MetaEnergy LLC; the app has no self-service registration. Access to the mobile app requires sign-in, including use of a demonstration account supplied by MetaEnergy.
2. Account Credentials
When you sign in, your username and password are sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) to MetaEnergy's authentication service. The app keeps the resulting access and refresh tokens in your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain or Android Keystore-backed storage). Your password itself is never stored on the device.
3. Operational Network Data
Pipeline schemes, telemetry readings, alarms, edits and calculation results are processed on MetaEnergy's servers to provide the app's features. Operational records may be linked to your operator account. Operational and security records can include your account identifier, time, source IP address, action, affected equipment or scheme, and outcome. Demonstration readings and alarms are explicitly labelled as simulated.
4. App Identifier and Local Preferences
The app generates a random identifier, stores it on your device across launches, and sends it to the dispatching service to separate demonstration workspaces. This identifier is not an advertising identifier. Interface language, unit system and canvas view settings are stored only on your device.
5. Hosting and Data Use
MetaEnergy uses DigitalOcean to host the service and its data. DigitalOcean processes hosted data on MetaEnergy's behalf. MetaFlow app data is not sent to other analytics, monitoring, hosting or backup providers. The mobile app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not request device location, contacts or photos.
6. Files You Export
If you export data (for example a calculation report as a CSV file), the file is created on your device and handed to the sharing destination you choose. Where it goes after that is under your control.
7. Retention, Deletion and Security
MetaEnergy's retention period for account records, scheme and audit history, and database backups is six months. Temporary demonstration workspaces and rotated server logs may be removed sooner. We do not currently offer a data-deletion request process. Signing out clears saved access and refresh tokens and active account data; it does not erase server records, the persistent app identifier, local preferences, or files you have exported. Network communication uses HTTPS/TLS.
